Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting since 1951 humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. Across Croatia, IOM contributes to the government’s migration management efforts and alignment with EU standards, in close cooperation with national counterparts.

Closing event of the Protecting children in the context of the refugee and migrant crisis in Europe project
On 11 April 2018 IOM Croatia held a closing event of the project Protecting children in the context of the Refugee and Migrant crisis in Europe. With lectures starting with the presentation of the project development, continuing subsequently with the presentation of implementation of the project activities and final results, this project cycle was officially encompassed with the presentations from the Ministry of Interior and the representative from Zagreb-Dugave dormitory for children.
The event gathered most important partners and stakeholders in the area of protection of unaccompanied migrant children and emphasized the need for a child-centered and migrant children appropriate approach opening the discussion for more sustainable solutions in the future.
